The Philippines is a great place to work, live and to do business, however when deciding to do business with any company in the Philippines, due-diligence is strongly suggested. We have provided some answers to some frequently asked questions to help you in your search for a quality Philippines web design company.
Finding The Right Philippines Company:
1. How can I be sure I am dealing with a legal Philippines Web Design Company?
Answer: Prior to doing business with any Philippines web design company you should ask to see their CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION issued by the PHILIPPINES SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION. This is one of several requirements of the Philippine Government, if the Philippines business does not have this certificate; they are either a FREELANCER or SOLE PROPRITOR. What is most important about this document is that the BUSINESS NAME must match all other documents including the BANK ACCOUNT.

PhilHealth – Hospital Coverage
2. What if the Philippines Web Design Company does not have the legal documents?
Answer: Then you should look somewhere else to have your website designed. If you are doing any business with a Philippines company that is not legally registered you are placing your entire project at risk, with no way of getting your work or money back.
3. The Philippines hosting company I am dealing with does not allow automated domain name registration, is this safe?
Answer: In a case like this we highly recommend that you purchase your domain name through an accredited registrar like Manila Hosting. It is always best if you have control of your domain name, you need to have the ability to login to your account and make changes. Giving control of your domain name to anyone is never recommended.
4. If I register my domain name through Manila Hosting, do I have 100% total access to my name at anytime?
Answer: Yes. All domain names registered with Manila Hosting are through our accredited ICANN registrar, you will have your own personal account, username and password where you can access your domain name at anytime.
5. Do you have a physical office location?
Answer: Yes. We are located here in Amberland Plaza, Suite 509 on Dona Julia Vargas Avenue, Pasig City, Ortigas Center Metro-Manila Philippines 1605 and we have been located here since July of 2006.
6. Do you have your own in-house employees, or do you outsource to freelancers?
Answer: Yes. We have our own in-house employees, and we do not outsource to freelancers or anyone else.
7. Do you ask for full payment in advance of the web design?
Answer: No. For simple HTML website designs we ask that 50% of the total be placed as a down payment. With larger custom designed CMS websites with larged mySQL databases we will require that 75% be placed as the down payment.
8. If I have you build me a CMS website with a database, do you encrypt the database like other companies do?
Answer: No. When you hire us to build your website, we give you complete access to the database as-well-as the PHP code which is all open source, so at a later date you, us or anyone familiar with PHP and mySQL databases can modify the code to suite your needs.
9. Once you have finished creating the website, can I have all of the original PSD (photoshop files)?
Answer: Yes. All JPG and PSD images and files created for your website will be placed in seperate folder and given to you on a CD, after all you paid for it, so those files belong to you.
10. I do not have my own images, can I just have you copy some images from Google?
Answer: No. If you do not have your own images, you can hire us to take pictures of your products or business, or we can provide you images from our shutterstock account for an additional cost.
11. Can you web design packages have items like domain name removed?
Answer: Yes. All of our web design packages at Manila Hosting can be tailored to suit the clients needs. All web design packages can have items removed or added, whatever best fits the clients needs.
